Mandatory Senior Survey

Seniors: if you did not receive a senior survey in your Period 1 class, you will need to pick one up in the Guidance Office. The survey tells us what your post-grad plans are and where to send your final transcript if you’re going to college next fall. Completion of the survey is mandatory; you will not receive your graduation tickets at the Senior Breakfast unless you have handed in a survey. They should be returned to Mrs. Kurose in Guidance.

Unexcused Absences

Attention Seniors:  Students are permitted 9 unexcused absences per semester.  Students will not receive academic credit for any class in which they exceed this minimum attendance requirement. If you think you have exceeded the attendance limit and are in danger of losing credit, please stop by the office.

Attendance waivers are available in the office. They must be completed, signed by a parent/guardian, and returned to the office by next Wednesday, May 24. No incomplete or late waivers will be accepted. Failure to submit a waiver AND provide adequate documentation for your unexcused absences will result in a loss of credit.

Please be sure the office has received documentation for all tardy make-ups.

NEW NHS bike share coming in Spring 2017! We are looking for donations of adult sized mountain bikes, road bikes or cross bikes (no BMX style please). If you have an old bike hanging around it could have a new life helping NHS students get to Smith College classes or internships or sports practices. Bikes do not need to be in perfect working order.

The only real requirements we have for the bikes would be:

1. Mountain bike, cross bike or road bike style (not BMX)

2. Must fit adult sized body

3. May need some repair is ok – the bike club will be doing work on the bikes. ( If major parts are missing that might not be ok)
