Save the NHS Musical!

NHS Theater Logo

If we’re going to save the musical, we need your help!

The Friends of NHS Theater have a lot of plans to improve the profitability of the musical this year–streamlining advertising, applying for grants, improving fundraising and more.

However, to actually have a musical, we need to replenish the theater account so that we can commit to hiring a musical team–at a fair wage–and buying rights to a great show.

To this end, we’ve started a Go Fund Me page with the ambitious goal of raising enough money to fully fund the musical, so that the profits for this year can go towards next year, and we can finally get back on track.

Please help us by sharing news about this campaign in any way you can–sharing on Facebook is certainly a great start, but all ideas and publicity are welcome.

Thank you everyone for your support!

Freshman Student Union Elections

In September, four freshmen Student Union Representatives will be elected by members of the freshmen class.

Students interested in running, should stop by the main office for more information. Elections will be held mid September. Individuals running for Student Union Representative must present a speech at the class assembly. Elections will be decided by popular vote.

Caught Off Guard Improv

Caught Off Guard, the NHS theater education troupe, will start meeting on Friday Sept 8, from 2-4 in the community room. The club uses theater improvisation to create skits/scenes that deal with teen concerns: relationships, substance abuse, race, social media, pressure, etc. and younger students’ issues: friendships, bullying, fear of middle school, etc. COG has performed for the Northampton elementary schools, JFK Middle school, NHS, and the District Attorney’s Annual Youth Conference.
