A message from the Sojourner Truth Memorial committee
Good news! Thanks to an anonymous donor, we will award six (6) $1500 Sojourner Truth Scholarships for Social Justice Work — two more than ever before. And we have extended the application deadline to May 7th.

Also NEW this year — any school staff member can nominate a student for this award. Nominations will increase the likelihood that a student from Northampton HS will receive a scholarship and be recognized for social justice work. If you are a staff member, send your name and email address, the name of the student and the student’s email address and a brief statement of why you are nominating this student to Lynneknu@gmail.com.
Two or more scholarships will be awarded to a high school senior from Hampshire County.. Please encourage seniors to apply, especially those who have initiated projects, or those active in clubs, that promote social justice work to increase human rights, promote diversity, reduce injustice, and/or work to end violence, bullying, racism and discrimination or other causes.
