Student Union

Each year 4 Student Union representatives are chosen per grade. They focus on ways to improve school and community culture. This is an activist group that is likely to interact with the school committee and administrators in making positive school change.

Each year a slate of officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are chosen to lead the grade with encouraging social events and fundraising for the class. You may run as a co-officer for any of the Student Government offices. Officers help with pep rally and spirit week in October, in addition to making sure that a float is made for the end of October Booster Week Parade. They plan and manage fundraisers, school social events, etc

If you are interested in running for STUDENT UNION or STUDENT GOVERNMENT, please respond to this post by submitting either:

Student Government

  • a one page or less statement of why you want to run for office
  • a 1-3 minute video with the same content

“Turn in” the speech or video under this assignment in your Class of 202- google classroom. Content will be reviewed and posted for the class to see.

We will accept “running papers” until Friday, June 4th.

We hope to have all speeches/statements posted by Monday, June 7th, and have (google form) polls open until Thursday, June 10th at noon, at which point we will announce the winners.
