NHS Area Road Safety Survey

The NHS PTO extends our condolences to the family and friends of Charlie Braun, who was killed while riding his bicycle on the roadway between the two major crosswalks our NHS students and staff — along with Northampton citizens and visitors — use daily.

This sad loss of life again brings to light the importance for safety improvements for all in the Northampton community whose daily habits require navigating this busy and dangerous section of roadway.

On Tuesday, October 19, the Northampton Transportation and Parking Commission will hold its monthly meeting from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Details about participating in the meeting on Zoom are below.

The NHS PTO welcomes your input of concerns and comments which will be collected and presented as a joint document during the public comment period at this meeting. Because the public comment period is limited, the PTO will present a compilation of the survey results, rather than encouraging multiple speakers at the meeting.

We strongly encourage you to complete our brief survey, and share with community members, so that our collective voices will convey the strong and urgent demand that safety improvements be made by the City of Northampton.
