There are several organizations that benefit our school. NHS PTO encourages you to support these organizations by volunteering your time, donating financially, and/or attending events sponsored by the following groups.
NORTHAMPTON HIGH SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION (NHS PTO)
The PTO works to help create the best possible learning environment for our students. The PTO works to enhance communication between school and home by maintaining this website, maintaining an email list and posting occasional announcements, publishing the Hamp Highlights e-newsletter, and producing the school directory. The PTO also raises funds to provide financial support for educational enrichment programs, technology upgrades, and other needs that are not covered by the school budget.
NORTHAMPTON ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB (NABC)
NABC was founded in 2009 to increase community awareness and provide financial support for the athletics program at Northampton High School. A board comprised of a parent representative from each class, a coach representative from each season, a chairperson and an at-large community member meet monthly to coordinate fundraising events. Proceeds from these events are distributed to the athletic teams through a grant application and review process each year. NABC hosts an annual golf tournament in the fall and a comedy night in the winter and is continually reviewing and updating new fundraising events throughout the year. NORTHAMPTON EDUCATION FOUNDATION (NEF)
NEF was founded in 1991 to fund projects and programs that expand educational opportunities, foster creativity, and enhance academic experiences in Northampton’s public schools. NEF awards grants for teacher-initiated projects that are made possible by annual donations from the community. NEF also administers the NEF Endowment Fund, the SOS Book Fund, and the Northampton Alumni Database. For more information visit northampton-edfoundation.org.
